Description: Dance stroke — is essentially a sinusoidal wave going from high to low. But when it comes to forming a curve of height and timbre, introducing harmonics, equalizing, applying samples or applying effects, an endless space of creative possibilities opens up. KickDrum — is a modular Kick VST and AU plug-in designed to achieve maximum accuracy and audio quality with an intuitive workflow while exploring this dimension, aiming to quickly achieve the desired audio.

- Release 2.8.6
bug fix: 32-bit float extensible .wav samples now read correctly (previously noisy)
bug fix:.wav files with the correct header, but lack of sample data caused a crash - Release 2.8.5
Framework update: Now 10 level 10 rigor runs in PluginVal — results
bug fix: Loading state in length save mode can damage envelopes when loading at different sampling rates or bpm - Release 2.8.4
bug Fix: KickDrum project states built on a system with different decimal localization number signs (eg Japanese: 44,100 vs English: 44,100), which are then loaded into another localization system, now load their states correctly — preventing a faulty internal state, which most likely led to a failure
regression (WIN only): «third-party software injecting itself into the Vulkan graphics backend» — Windows fix from version 2.8.2 has now been stabilized and a possible crash has been fixed here

Analysis function
The KickDrum analysis feature turns the sample into a fully editable patch with restored height and gain envelopes, as well as textures and optional wavetable creation.
drag and drop a sample or full song onto the plugin,
or select it through the integrated sampler browser
Choose your range of interests or read immediately
the resulting patch — is a functional copy of the original sample, ready to be processed as a native VST/AU patch -
3D Editable Wave Table
Build your signaling path with a reordered chain of processing devices
Press + and enter wave design mode
draw a custom shape with Bezier curves, or choose a timbre from an existing sample, or combine both
next, process it using other modules such as linear phase equalizer, saturation, etc.
Finally, select a wave using a wave selector, with optional symmetry, mixing and normalization
Creating your own sound exactly the way you want has never been easier. -
** Linear phase equalizer**
KickDrum's unique approach offers linear phase equalization without playback delay, ensuring perfect phase equalization.
Double-click on the spectrum to create a filter band
Adjust gain, frequency, filter type, dB/octave by dragging up/down
or disguise several stripes and configure them at the same time
Add as many groups as you like
or mark a bar and click on the frequency keyboard to set the range to a key on the keyboard
Form harmonics, refine overtones, and balance the sound while maintaining phase -
Audio engine
The KickDrum audio engine handles individual stages of the device from start to finish before moving on to the next level. Unlike traditional synthesizers, which create audio in blocks within a given time budget, KickDrum renders audio on a non-DSP stream and gradually transfers a fully rendered sample to a live output. Thus, KickDrum will be able to perform computationally expensive processing without exceeding the time budget of the DSP stream. This approach is great for sounds that don't change over time, such as kick and snare in most EDM genres. Imagine a sampler that, every time you edit, recovers the sample from scratch — providing quality processing in a non-destructive workflow. This innovative approach allows you to implement unique functionssuch as zero-in-time crossing, linear equalization without playback delay, steady master-out, and negative pre-delay in reverb. -
Sampler
Use Sample Device to interact with audio files, providing seamless integration and a dedicated sample browser.
Change on site
click on the folder icon to open the Flyout-Sample browser and view folders, samples or entire songs on your hard drive
Use the up/down arrow to switch samples and listen directly to how they add up to your current sound
Find the best match quickly -
Processing of samples
Edit samples directly in KickDrum
Drag the sample left and right along the timeline
use the envelope to form the gain curve
Take vertical edges to stretch or trim. -
Preset management
KickDrum offers a comprehensive preset browser to view, save, and sort your kicks by name, key, or tag.
click on the Audija logo at the top left to open the pre-installed browser
Browse real folders with real presets on your hard drive
Save /rename /copy presets
Add folders/remove folders
Sort them by name, author, tags, date or key
search folders and keyword subfolders: «D#» lists all the kicks in this key
Remote Preset Control: Switch between presets in this folder or save changes to preset — all from the workspace without having to open the preset browser -
Formation of curves
Bézier Curves with two axes, moving gravity points and adjustable interception for precise envelope formation and throwing.
Double-click to add a node or double-click on a node to remove it
Press and drag along the curve to form it in two axes
Stretch the mask around multiple nodes to scale and move them freely
Right-click and drag the pen to smooth the connection of nodes
Switching between logarithmic and linear editing
Precise editing of curves is facilitated -
Navigation
Dive deep into your aspects of sound with precise navigation through sample levels.
right-click and drag on oscillogram, keyboard, vertical dB scale or equalizer spectrum to enlarge details
Use a double-click of the right mouse to reset the viewport
quick micro-settings with a user interface that helps in the process -
WAV export and import
Exporting WAV allows you to directly convert the workspace into a.wav file, which can be dragged from the plugin interface to the DAW or to the operating system's file browser.
to add it to your workspace, use the built-in browser sample or drag and drop audio files directly into the plugin interface
